Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) are planning to visit
Capitol Hill and members of Congress in order to raise awareness about the
critical work health care assistants do in long term care facilities.
The National Association of Health Care Assistants (NAHCA)
is hosting its annual convention on September 6 to 7 in Washington, D.C., and
attendees are not missing the chance to visit important lawmakers while they
are in the nation’s capitol. Teaming with AHCA/NCAL, dozens of CNAs and
administrators will take their message to Congress in what has already been an
eventful year for health care policy.
Attendees from over 20 states all over the country will also
receive leadership training and informative talks from leaders in the
profession as well as AHCA staff. A rally on Capitol Hill will coincide with
the visits to Congress.
