Trump Administration Intent to Repeal ACA

Dianne De La Mare

On the first day of President Trump’s Administration, he signed an executive order, Minimizing the Economic Burden of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act Pending Repeal, which makes clear the Administration’s intent to repeal the Affordable Care Act (ACA).

In the meantime, the Administration will “ensure that the law is being efficiently implemented, take all actions consistent with law to minimize the unwarranted economic and regulatory burdens of the Act, and prepare to afford the States more flexibility and control to create a more free and open healthcare market.”

To view the order, it is available online at the White House website.  To stay up to date on any changes on the ACA in the future, check out the AHCA/NCAL website and its resources.
