CDC Planning Guide for Public Health Emergencies

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has developed a Long-Term, Health, and Hospice Care Planning Guide for Public Health Emergencies, and the purpose of this plan is to assist facilities to prepare for a public health emergency. This planning guide covers six topics:
  • Situational awareness 
  • Continuity of operations 
  • Facility or agency operations 
  • Crisis standards of care 
  • Staffing 
  • Fatality management
