New CDC Drug Diversion Graphic Highlights Risk of Infection

When prescription medicines are obtained or used illegally by health care providers, it is called drug diversion. A new graphic on CDC’s Injection Safety website illustrates the risks of contracting an infection when a health care provider uses injectable drugs for his or her personal use.
