Special Day of Education Sessions for SNF Administrators Help You Learn How to Avoid Deficiencies

Teresa Eyet

In partnership with the American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA), AHCA is offering a special day of sessions geared toward leadership of a center or organization (e.g. Administrators, CFOs, Regional and Owners) specifically focusing on what you need to know to avoid deficiencies related to CMS's new survey of MDS data accuracy announced for nationwide expansion in 2015. The IMPACT act passed in 2014 has brought even more emphasis to the MDS data in the daily operations of a center.

This constituency education program takes place on Sunday, October 4. You will review the survey protocol, surveyor's tasks, and pilot program data, and learn how to best prepare for an audit. The overarching issue of regulatory compliance and compliance with other payment programs will also be discussed. This is no longer something just the MDS coordinator needs to worry about. The entire disciplinary team must be aware of the new survey protocol and be ready to respond to surveyor questions and documentation reviews. Senior management leadership strategies will be identified and discussed.
