U.S. House Hearing on the Small Business Health Options Program

On Thursday, September 18, the U.S. House Committee on Small Business Subcommittee on Health and Technology, chaired by Rep. Chris Collins (R-NY-27), held a hearing titled, ​ An Update on the Small Business Health Options Program (SHOP): Is It Working for Small Businesses?

SHOP was created in the Affordable Care Act (ACA), and is a new way for small businesses to buy health insurance for their employees. The hearing examined the current state of the SHOP and whether they are working for small businesses. The hearing notice, memo, and witness list can be found here.
