Obama Administration Allows More Time to Enroll in Federal Marketplace

This week, the Obama administration announced that it will extend the March 31 deadline for signing up for health care for individuals who have had trouble finishing enrollment in time. Consumers that have begun to apply for coverage on HealthCare.gov, but who do not finish by the enrollment deadline of this Monday, will have until about mid-April to ask for an extension. More details can be found in this Washington Post article.

According to a recent email alert from Politico, more than five million people have signed up in the state and federal exchanges, and administration officials say volume has been very heavy on the websites in the final days.
